JULIO ZOGBI

Managing Partner, with over 17 years’ experience investing in illiquid assets. Prior to founding Monte, Julio was a partner at TRX, leading the Infrastructure Private Equity JV; managing partner of Banco Indusval & Partners’ fixed income structured products; and managed one of Brazil’s largest private infrastructure financing fund at Vinci Partners. Based in London, Julio was the Director for Private Equity at Pentagon Capital Management and a member of Lehman Brothers leveraged finance team. Co-founder of Econergy Brazil, Julio has a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of São Paulo (USP) and an MBA from Harvard Business school.


LUCAS LACRETA

Managing Director, with over 15 years’ experience in finance and capital markets. Prior to joining Monte, Lucas was head of asset management and portfolio manager for CM Capital, overseeing structured projects and investments in financial assets of all classes, liquid and illiquid. Lucas started his career in product management at Banco Itaú-Unibanco, holds a bachelor’s degree in Business from the University of São Paulo (USP) and did the graduate course in Business Economics focused on Capital Markets at São Paulo´s School of Economics – FVG.


Fábio Bonini

Corporate Finance & Investment Banking professional with over 20 years of experience, working as a team leader in banks and hedge funds such as Abn Amro Bank, Santander, Banco Votorantim and TRX. Over all, racked up BRL 35 billion were transacted by his commercial structures, in local and international markets for large multinationals, including deals such as capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, treasury bonds and IPOs. Gradueded in marketing, he holds an MBA in Business Administration from FGV / RJ, specializations in Sustainability and Financial Products from FGV / SP, Equities and Capital Markets from Saint Paul Business School.


Carlos Braga

Senior Advisor at Monte, Carlos holds different key positions in accredited institutions in Brazil: Finance Professor at Fundação Dom Cabral, vice-chairman of the board of Minas Gerais’ Development Bank, and board member at Metalfrio Solutions. In his career, Carlos was Finance Vice-president for Artesia Gestão de Recursos, Partner at Brasilpar and CEO of the Royal Bank of Scotland in Brazil. Carlos holds a Master in Finances from IBMEC – RJ, Management Specialization from IMD in Switzerland, and a graduate degree in International Commerce from UCLA. Carlos is the co-author of the books “Ascensão das Multinacionais Brasileiras” (2007) and “Gestão de Riscos no Mercado Financeiro” (2018).


Berta Lucia da Silva Fernandes

Business Manager, with over 15 years´ experience in team management, human resources, procurement, treasury and financial planning. Prior to joining Monte, Berta was sales manager for Medcel, and financial analyst at TRX Investimentos.
